Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering for the Canadian Dachshund Rescue, Ontario (CDRO)! Without our dedicated dachshund-loving volunteers we wouldn’t be able to do what we do! CDRO is always looking for enthusiastic and dedicated foster parents. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing you played a role in helping save the life of a deserving soul!
You must be 21 years of age or older to be eligible to volunteer with CDRO. We ask that you commit to fostering for at least 1 year.
If you have a passion for the long-dog and some free time to invest in saving the lives of rescued weenies, then we’d love to hear from you!
“What I love most about CDRO is the power of people who come together with a common interest and a desire to make the world a better place… in this case, one little wiener dog at a time. Being a Foster for CDRO has been an extremely rewarding experience both for me and for my family. There hasn’t been one foster dog with whom we haven’t fallen head-over-heels in love. While it is difficult to say goodbye to our foster dogs, we know that our role is to give these beautiful creatures wings so they can fly. And fly they do, bringing such joy to their adoptive families along the way. It’s the best of all worlds: saving lives and changing lives… that’s the long and the short of it!” – Laurie H
