And now a few words from me:

Hi all! Let me introduce myself! My name is Tucker and I am a 2 years old miniature dachshund in the search of a family who would be willing to give me the chance at a happily ever after. What can I tell you about me? I am a young dog with a fun personality and I love to play! I am full of life, I am excitable and quite friendly! While in foster care, my favourite things to do include going for walks, sniffing out new places, learning new commands, playing, eating, wrestling with my foster siblings, lounging in the sun and chewing on a bone! But most of all I love to hang out with my people and doggy pack! I am very clean in the house as long as you let me out every 3 or 4 hours. I get along with all dogs but I have never shared my home with a cat. I have plenty of kisses, wags and unconditional love to give. All that I’m hoping is that someone has room in their heart and home for a sweet little guy like me. Would you like to make me a part of your family? If you think you could make my dream come true, please fill out an adoption application and ask for me. I would love to share life’s adventures with you! Love, Tucky

And now a few words from my foster family:

Tucker is a handsome little man with a bright smile and a wonderful personality. He is a fun dog with a lot of puppy left in him. He is very energetic, loving and playful and he gets along with everyone he meets, dogs and people alike! This wiggly ball of energy would thrive with an active family or in a home with a furry friend to keep him company when his people are away. Tucky is currently being fostered in an apartment and is generally a quiet dog. A citronella collar can be used to successfully correct his barking if needed. As a bonus, he is completely crate trained and happily goes to bed by himself at night. He also enjoys having access to his crate during the day, it is his favourite lounging area! Tucker has mild resource guarding behaviour over his food and sleeping area. Resource guarding refers to a behaviour (growling, snapping, etc) that discourages a dog or human to get too close to a valued resource. He is making great progress with the training he is receiving in foster care. He will need a dedicated owner that will give him structure, routine and plenty of exercise! This young boy does best with a firm leader who makes sure he follows all commands. He is smart, attentive and loves to learn through our daily training sessions. He is highly food motivated so teaching him new tricks is fairly easy. He loves to have his mind stimulated. He could highly benefit from obedience classes with his new parents! Tucker deserves a committed family who wants to give a special dog a chance at a happy life. He will no doubt give his adopters plenty of love in return!
