And now a few words from me:

I’m a little gal from Alberta and had been living with the same family since I was a puppy. Earlier this year my family got a big dog, and because he hurt me twice, they decided to surrender me to ensure my safety. In my foster home I’m living with two dachshunds, and even though they’re nice, I’m really more interested in my foster people. I enjoy getting out for walks and playing fetch — toys are so much fun! I love to cuddle up and will give you hugs. I’ve not had any accidents in my foster home, I listen well and I’m polite. I have growled a little at one of my foster sisters, but I was just telling her I wasn’t comfortable with what she was doing. I’m an advocate for non-violent solutions! So if you’d like to ‘git along with this little doggie’, let’s meet!

And now a few words from my foster family:

This sweet, loving gal is the whole package. She is a beautiful little dog with a personality and temperament to match. She is quick to mind, except when she is barking at some real or imagined threat from which she needs to protect her family. This can be a bit tedious, and she would not be a good apartment dweller. We are spending a lot of time responding to her “alarms” and releasing her from her response. It is a learning curve for her for sure and she will need continued support in this area. She has always lived in a home with a yard and ideally that would be best for her. The physical wounds she sustained in her previous life are healing well, and she is ready for a wonderful family looking for a sweet companion.
