And now a few words from me:

Hi my name is Sprigles. I’m as gentle and loving as you get. I’m very quiet, and tend to be shy when meeting new people. I feel most confident with women, and need a soft person to build me up in new situations. I’m excellent on the leash, and enjoy walking as much as you like. I’m happy to walk for an hour, or on cold days to curl up on my bed – I’m that easy. I find large dogs intimidating so I would be happy as an only dog or with a companion my size. My foster mom says I’ve got great movement and conformation – I’m very handsome! I will melt your heart with my big eyes. If you’re looking for your first Dachshund or an addition to a quiet household, I’m your boy!

And now a few words from my foster family:

Sprigles is a perfect breed ambassador, with looks to match his heart of gold! He has beautiful movement, matched with a small, compact body and big beautiful eyes. He is very gentle, and tends to be shy around new people. He requires a soft owner who will gently encourage him in new situations. He enjoys up to an hour of walking every day, but is also happy to curl up on your lap on a rainy day. He is insecure around large-breed dogs, so a home with a small dog, or no dogs is a must. This boy is very quiet, and happily sleeps in his crate when you’re busy. He is able to keep up on walks, but has the calm disposition of a senior in the house. His exact age is unknown, but is estimated around 8 to 9 years. He is in excellent health, and has many good years ahead of him. Sprigles is very easy to look after, and is waiting for a person to call his own.
