And now a few words from me:
Hi, my name is Einstein! I’m a red shorthaired Dachshund who loves long walks, cuddling and belly rubs! I’m still getting used to walking on a leash, and loud vehicles make me a little nervous. I don’t care much for other animals, and mostly ignore them. But I love getting attention from people wherever I go. When we are home I will follow you around the house all day. I have had one ‘accident’ in my foster home, but for the most part, am housetrained. Fluffy stuffed toys are my favorite; I will tear them apart and make a big mess! I want to live somewhere where I will get a lot of attention, and hopefully with someone who is home with me most of the time!
And now a few words from my foster family:
Einstein is an absolutely adorable little guy who loves being outside or inside. He is very well behaved and would make a great lap dog, but also loves long walks in the neighbourhood. He has been introduced to a pet rabbit, and doesn’t seem to have prey instinct, but monitoring is recommended. He seems to tolerate other animals; he knows they are around but doesn’t pay them much attention. Einstein can be a bit stubborn, and if he’s tearing a toy apart or eating a treat he will get snippy. Lately he has been barking when crated and left at night (only lately), but if someone is in the same room he stays quiet. He needs to lose a couple of pounds, and is on a special hypoallergenic diet for his allergies.
