And now a few words from me:

Hi, my name is Sam, and I’m a handsome wire-haired dachshund. I’m a real hunk if I’m being honest, or just cute as can be, says my foster mom. I am very nervous meeting new people, and may growl and snap at first, but give me a few moments and I become a lovable little dog just looking for affection. My favorite thing to do is cuddle and nap with my human. I’ve been called a couch potato, but I do like to go outside for short walks, and then I head right back to the couch however i need to lose a couple of pounds so need these walks!!! After having had a bad experience with a child, I am very afraid of them, and as a result I would not do well in a home with children. My forever home should have one or two people who have lots of time to spend with me because I get lonely all by myself, and cry a little. I can behave with other dogs, but I’m so much happier by myself because I don’t have to compete for your attention. May I be your new best friend?

And now a few words from foster mom:

Sam gets sweeter each day. He is a happy little dog when he is in his place, with his people. A little patience and understanding will help Sam adjust; he is already becoming calmer when meeting new people. He doesn’t ask for much, just a loving person who will take the time to show him what is expected of him. He is a loyal, adoring little man who will sit at your feet for hours, and is so happy with just a pet on the head, or when he is told he is a good boy. He’ll be a wonderful companion for some lucky person.
