A letter to my furever family:
Hello my new family! I’m so happy to finally meet you! I’m Ruby, and I’m a 5 yr old smooth red-haired beauty. I think I weigh approx. 15 lbs. I was saved from a Quebec puppy mill where I never got the chance to go for a walk, or touch this stuff called grass-and I certainly didn’t get to sleep in a comfy warm bed! Now I even get 2 square meals a day-who could ask for anything better? Since coming to my foster Mom’s house, I’ve been able to experience all of this and so much more. There are so many things to see, hear and especially smell. I am learning lots of things and loving every minute of it! Foster Mom calls me ‘Ruby slipper’ because I tend to take them on her and hide them. They’re so soft and cuddly. And speaking of which; I didn’t know how incredible it felt to be pet, and hugged and kissed and cuddled until now. Will you do that to me too?? It feels so great to be warm, safe and loved. I enjoy the company of my foster brother and sister; but am a little skittish around new people that want to pet me. Foster Mom says you may need a little extra patience with me when it comes to my house-training. Im trying to get the hang of it but I sometimes have accidents in the house. I’m learning as quickly as I can though!
I so badly want you to know how much I appreciate you choosing me to come and live with you. I promise to behave and be the best canine addition to your family that you’ve ever had! What time did you say you would be coming to pick me up??
