Nicky - Adopted!

Hello ladies and gents! Let me introduce myself. My name is Nicky, and if I may say so myself, I have been described as a gorgeous 6 year old black and tan lad. I am about 5.5kg, I have shiny fur, and a personality that is an 11 out of 10.

I am a well behaved boy with plenty of energy. I love walks, and my biggest passion in life is playing with balls (* did someone say FOOTBALL?!!). I am completely housetrained, I promise to never chew your shoes, or your furniture. I am good with most dogs, however, love to have all the attention on me. In my previous home I grew up with cats, so if they like dogs, I should be okay with them.

I love to play catch (even in the house), and like children. If you have little people in the house, that works for me but I would do best in a home where children don’t play too rough (as I did have back surgery 2 years ago). So really, probably, only a home with older children please. Sorry to mislead you.

Originally, when I came to my foster home I slept in my doggie bed at the foot of the big bed, but with my fantastic personality and great behaviour, my foster family lets me sleep in the big bed where I love to cuddle.

Now that you are in love, I have to confess something. I have a back issue – but don’t panic! The vet says it is more of a pinched nerve and less of the scary ruptured disk usually seen in wieners. It’s really a chronic condition with the occasion flare up. The kind folks at CDR have been helping me work through the recent episode and tell you more details. Please don’t let this scare you away! I deserve a home just as much as if I didn’t have back problems.

What this really means is that with the right limitations and rules I could lead a happy life. I can’t take the stairs or jump off furniture. It will always be important to me to stay slim and I need to be careful about playing to rough.

If you think I am a perfect addition to your home, let’s set it up!
