And now a few words from me:
Hi, I’m Maria, a little red and brown dapple dachshund. I love people and will cuddle with you all day long. But if you’re busy, I’m happy to cuddle with my best friend Charlotte. The best is when all of us are cuddling together! I like being outside and investigating the back yard and I’m really good at walking on a leash. Although I don’t understand this sit/stay business, I’m learning quickly. I’m happy to sleep in the crate with Charlotte at night or when you have to go out for a while. I know that Charlotte isn’t as adventurous as I am and when she’s feeling nervous, I stick close to her.

Hi, I’m Charlotte, a gorgeous black and white Chihuahua. I’m really, really cautious of new situations and prefer to hang out in a comfy crate where I can watch the action. I love Maria and am much happier when she is snuggled up beside me. I’m getting more comfortable in the back yard, but I only want to stay out long enough to take care of business. We go for a short walk every day. To be honest, this is scary for me and I’m happy when we get to the top of the street and head back home. I walk just fine then!

We’re looking for a patient family that will work with Charlotte to become more confident. We’re hoping you enjoy being outside like Maria and going for walks too. And of course, you must love to cuddle!!

And now a few words from my foster family:
Maria is a dream family pet. She’s a happy, affectionate girl who would cuddle all day long. She is house trained on a schedule and walks well on a leash. She is the caretaker of this pair and snuggles with Charlotte when Charlotte is unsure of a situation. Maria isn’t very interested in toys, but she’s curious and likes to be outside, sniffing all the Spring smells. She likes to go for walks and would go much further than Charlotte can tolerate at this point. Charlotte is a little sweetie waiting to blossom. Every day she becomes a little more trusting of her surroundings.

Maria and Charlotte may be good candidates for apartment living. Maria has barked a couple of times, but stops when asked. Charlotte has yet to find her voice here. We are introducing new situations slowly; cats, kids, other dogs etc. and will update the bio with this information when available. Their new family will need to provide structure, leadership and patience, and will be rewarded with two loving companion pets.
