A few words from us:
Lucy is a dachshund/jack Russell cross that was surrendered to the rescue when her owner died. Foster mom says I am a dachshund with long legs (as far as dachshund leg standards go!) I am very sweet and like lots of snuggles. I will sit on your lap and nuzzle your hand so that you will pet me. I can be growly around some other dogs when we first meet (especially other females), but settle down after a little while. I love people and have been great with every adult I’ve met. I get a bit nervous when startled, or when getting nails cut, so probably best not to go to a home with small children who might startle/surprise us.
And now a few words from my foster family:
Lucy really is a sweetheart. With her long legs she loves walking, and does quite well on a leash. She has lots of energy, so needs a fair bit of exercise, but is happy to snuggle on the couch or in the big bed. Lucy definitely enjoys human company, so will whine a little when left alone. Lucy is crated with her brother at night, but will jump into bed if given the chance. They definitely need a home with someone who will be firm in training. You will definitely be rewarded with lots of love from Lucy!
