And now a few words from me:
Hi there! My name is Goofy — I definitely know my name, and it suits me too. I am a gentle giant who is currently on a weight-loss program as I am a little tubby at the moment. I like to go outside and explore, although presently walking long distances is not my favourite thing… but in time it will be. I love people and children; I let kids use me as a pillow when they are watching television or reading. I have not been vocal at all in my foster home; I like the other dogs and cats here. I love car rides, although I can be bit whiny until I settle. I think I’m a lap dog though and will climb in your lap to ride, so it’s better to have me in a seat belt when driving. Crates are not my favourite things, so I need a big comfy bed or blanket for sleeping. I am housetrained and know my “sit” and “stay” commands as well.
And now a few words from my foster family:
Goofy is the most wonderful boy. He charms everyone he meets…big, small, young and old. He is adorable beyond words! He has nice manners and is always happy. His tail never stops wagging. Goofy is great with children and other pets. He needs to be kept on a strict low-calorie diet as he is presently overweight, but is losing. He could be an only dog if his human(s) were home more than not, and he definitely can live with other dogs or cats. He is leash-trained and housetrained. He has lived with a human home all day /most of the day, so he would prefer to not be left alone all day, every day. He has not been apartment-tested but he has not been vocal while in foster care when his foster parents go out for short periods during the day.
