And now a few words from me:
Hello, my name is Dina and I am an amazing mix of standard Dachshund and Corgi (I think). I had a very sheltered life as a puppy. Meeting new humans can make me fearful and anxious but I do not want to be aggressive, I just want to move away from them. Once I start to trust you I am very gentle and affectionate. I love meeting other dogs and when I am around dogs who are confident, curious and outgoing, it helps build my confidence in situations that make me nervous. I would love to live with another dog who is playful and social. I have lots of energy and I love to run and play with the other dogs in my foster home.
And now a few words from my foster family:
When Dina arrived into foster care she was extremely fearful and overweight. She had not been socialized properly with humans, she had been over fed and had not been properly exercised. After four weeks in foster care Dina is a new girl. She is a healthy weight and very active and playful. She is crate trained and she loves the other dogs. Dina is still nervous when strangers arrive; she will bark, run away and hide in her crate, but with the help of the other dogs she will now come out to investigate the new person. If the person is calm and quiet she will go up and sniff them and may even lick their hand, but if they try to pet her she will run away again. Dina will need an owner who is patient and can provide her with lots of exercise and calm assertive leadership.
