Darla - Adopted!

Hi there, my name is Darla and I am a super pretty 4 year old long haired silver dapple dachshund and I am looking for my very own family. My friend Willow and I were recently rescued from a puppy mill in Ohio and brought to Canada to get a fresh start on life. I am a happy girl, always ready for a walk, a romp outside, or a cuddle. My tail is going full time, and I smile a lot. I’m learning so much, like how good it feels to rub my back on grass; how nice it is to cuddle with humans and other dogs; and TREATS…they are so good; but especially attention, I love lots of that. I am trying to learn the bathroom thing, foster mom gets very excited if I GO outside or use the pee pad. With a little more practice I am sure I will get the hang of it.

When I got here, my hind quarters were a bit sore from the trip, and I got some anti-inflammatory medicine to make me feel better, and it worked, I was practically turning cartwheels the next day. Even though I am feeling so much better, I will have to be careful so I won’t get sore again. My foster mom took me to an adoption event and I got to meet so many nice people and doxies. All the people wanted to pet me which made me very happy. I am good with older children, cats and dogs and I can’t wait to meet my new family, maybe it will be you?
