And now a few words from me:

Hello, my name is Cookie and I’m a healthy, senior gal. I have lots of energy for walk, and enjoy smelling the roses along the way. And I like my naps too! I really enjoy snuggling with my foster mom – I could do that all day! I sleep in my own bed at night. I like when my foster mom’s grandchildren (ages 10 to 14) visit – they give me a lot of attention. I’m not afraid when people come to the door; I may bark at first, but as soon as they pet me I’m good. I can be left alone during the day. I am on a regular eating schedule. My foster mom takes me outside regularly to do my business. I do bark on occasion at dogs, cats or people walking by, but I will stop when told a couple of times. Although I’ve relished my time with my foster mom, I would like to find my furever home.

And now a few words from my foster family:

Cookie has been enjoyable to foster. She is a loving, senior girl, and a pleasure to have. She’s a good eater and likes her treats, although she is now on senior dog food and would do best to lose a couple of pounds. Cookie doesn’t go to the door and ask to go out, rather she will bounce in front of me and I get the message. I take her out and she does her business and when she comes in, she is rewarded with a treat. When left alone she has had no accidents, but on occasion when I’ve been home she has had a hand full of accidents. I do feel that Cookie has not been socialized enough. In the time I’ve had her, she has experienced meeting other dogs on walks and although she barks at them, tail wagging, she then carries on. It is unknown how she would behave with cats or aggressive dogs. Cookie will be a wonderful addition to any family that would like to adopt a senior dog. Despite her age, she is very youthful and has a lot of love to give!
