Hello! My name is Bertha. I’m a gorgeous girl with beautiful long hair, and I’m the perfect size. Once I relax in familiar surroundings I am always looking for fun, playing with my foster fur siblings or amusing myself chasing a bone. And I love exploring the great outdoors! I’m only just starting to get used to walking on a leash, so access to a fenced yard is important for me, both for my enjoyment and to keep me on track as I work on my housetraining. I’m a really good girl and I don’t chew anything that I’m not supposed to. Are you looking for a fun companion? If you gaze into my amazing brown eyes, I just know you’ll be smitten.
And now a word from my foster family:
Bertha has come a long way from being a kennel dog to living in a family home. She loves being out in the big yard, exploring the area. It takes Bertha a while to adjust to new people, especially men. Once she is comfortable, she is a happy girl. She is just staring to walk on a leash, so a fenced yard would be essential to keep her on track for housetraining. She will need a patient owner that will work to keep her on a schedule. Bertha will go quite willingly into her crate at bedtime, where she enjoys her treat and is quiet until she is let out in the morning. During the day while we are working she has been left gated in the kitchen, and she does not chew or damage anything. She will be a great companion for the right person or family.
