And now a few words from me:

Hi there! Are you looking for a furry friend who will give you unconditional love and endless snuggles? Then let me introduce myself! My name is Benny, but my foster mom calls me Benny Boo or Benny BooBoo, probably because I’m just so darn cute! I have a very soft coat and love to be petted and brushed. You can tell I’m enjoying your attention when I let out a little groan. Although lots of people want to meet me when I go out on my walks, I am very shy and nervous when meeting new people, but I am becoming more confident with strangers once I am shown that they are not going to hurt me. Speaking of walks, I was not familiar with walking on a leash until I came into my new foster home but I am learning very quickly and I look forward to my trips outside where I do all of my business. Foster Mom says she is very proud of my progress and tells me that I am such a good boy which makes me happy. I am a pretty easy guy to love – I will just need some continued guidance to boost my confidence and help me come fully out of my shell. I hope to settle into my final and forever home soon with a family that can give me the unconditional love that I need!

And now a few words from my foster family:

Benny is a gorgeous long-haired boy who is on his fifth home in as many years. He was used as a show dog in his past but unfortunately was not given the socialization that he needed. He is very nervous of new people, but is not aggressive in any way and bonded with me almost instantly. He is my little ‘velcro dog’ and sticks to my side like glue! When I am not home, he becomes my husband’s little shadow but as soon as I return, he is back to me. He is a very loyal boy and sticks to his one “safe person” at a time. However, at a recent adoption event he opened up to some strangers, letting them pet him and even hold him. We are trying to introduce him to more and more people so that he can gain confidence and learn that the world is not such a scary place! Benny sleeps in his crate at night without any issues, although he would much rather be in the big bed with us. He has not shown much interest in toys and instead prefers to snuggle and have his belly rubbed as often as possible. He is a quiet little guy for the most part – he does bark when someone comes to the door but he is easily quieted. He would do best with an experienced owner that can continue to work on his socialization and help him be his most confident self! Benny is a darling little dog who just wants to be shown the love he deserves which is why his next home needs to be final and forever home. His forever family will be very lucky to have such a sweet boy as Benny!
