And now a few words from me
Hi, I’m Gabby, and I’m a very sweet girl, calm and laid back girl. I was pretty sad when I first arrived in foster care, but I’ve come a long way since then. I’ve met lots of other dogs, and cats too, and I enjoy spending time with animals and humans alike. I am getting lots of love and attention here, and am really starting to come out of my shell. I was alone a lot in my previous home, and I sometimes got into trouble to pass the time. That’s why my foster mom says I should go to a home with anther dog to keep me company! I love going for walks and spending time outside, and chasing the other dogs in my foster home around the yard. I really love the snow too (it’s much better than rain). I’m happy being around adults and kids alike, and would really love to be adopted to a family that I can snuggle up with and love.
During the day, I hang out in the kitchen with the other dogs in the house – we keep each other company and out of trouble while foster mom is away at work. I’m ALWAYS very happy when she comes home, I just love to be around my humans. At night I sleep in my crate, although it takes a second or two to coax me in there. (I would really prefer to sleep in the big bed, but who wouldn’t?!)
Although I really adore my foster family, I’d really love to find my very own furever family soon. If you’re looking for a calm, laid back little love bug, that’s me, Gabby!
And now a few words from my foster family:
Gabby is a wonderful, sweet girl and we enjoy having her in our home. It took her a little while to feel comfortable with and our pack, as she is a bit skittish in new surroundings, but now she’s like a part of the family. She gets along well with just about every human and dog she meets (after having a few moments to warm up to them of course!), and enjoys any attention she can get. Although she was an only dog in her previous home, she needs the companionship and comfort of another dog to be truly happy and well behaved. Like most dachshunds, she can be a bit of a nuisance barker (she IS named Gabby after all), so apartment living is not for this girl. She came from a home with a young child and is good with children, so she would be suitable for any family with dog-savvy kids.
Gabby’s wish for the holidays is to find a fur-ever home of her own. Do you think you might be the family to make her wish come true?
